Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

“Make It Great!” (the “App” or “Service”) is an application that uses third-party AI models (OpenAI and Anthropic) to correct grammar, improve fluency/nativity, adjust length and style, answer language-related questions, and translate between languages supported by those providers.

Part A — Terms of Service

1) Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2) Eligibility

You must comply with applicable laws. You must be at least 4 years old to use the Service. If your local law sets a higher age of consent, you must meet that higher age requirement.

3) Account, Subscription, and Billing

• The Service is offered by subscription with usage limits (see §4).
• Billing. Subscriptions are billed via the Apple App Store.
• Auto-renewal. Unless you cancel before 24 hours of the end of the current period, your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time via your Apple App Store subscription settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds. Refunds are governed by Apple’s policies. We do not provide refunds for partially used periods or unused quota unless required by law.
• Plan changes. We may change prices, features, plans, quotas, throttling and rate-limits at any time.

4) Usage Limits and Fair Use

• Plans include a limited number of requests and/or responses per billing period; the App may throttle, queue, or reject requests after limits are reached.
• We may impose technical caps (rate limits, payload size, concurrency) and fair-use protections to maintain service quality.

5) The Service and AI Providers

• The App forwards your inputs (prompts, texts, instructions) to OpenAI and Anthropic (“AI Providers”) for processing and returns their outputs.
• No confidentiality guarantee. We do not guarantee confidentiality for content submitted to AI Providers. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information you cannot risk disclosing.
• Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or otherwise unsuitable. Use your own judgment and verify critical facts. No professional advice is provided.

6) User Content & License

• You own your content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, transmit, and process your content solely to operate and improve the Service, including forwarding it to AI Providers.
• AI outputs license to you. Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, we grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use AI outputs for lawful personal or business purposes. We do not warrant non-infringement; you are responsible for rights clearance and compliance.

7) Acceptable Use

You will not:

• violate laws or third-party rights (IP, privacy, publicity, export);
• submit illegal or harmful content;
• reverse engineer, bypass limits, or interfere with the Service;
• use outputs without required attribution or permissions when applicable;
• create or distribute malware, spam, or misinformation;
• use the Service to train competing AI models.

8) Third-Party Services

• AI Providers and platform operators are independent services. Their terms and privacy policies govern their processing.
• We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability, retention, or security practices.

9) Intellectual Property

The App and all related materials (excluding your content and AI outputs licensed to you under §6) are owned by the Company or its licensors and are protected by law. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.

10) Changes, Availability, and Support

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Updates may be required to continue using the App.

11) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms or create legal/security risk. You may stop using the App at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including §§5–7, 9, 12–17) survive termination.

12) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND AI OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

13) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS. Where law does not allow full exclusion, the exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted, and our liability is limited to the minimum amount required by law.

14) Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

15) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Armenia. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Yerevan, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
Informal resolution: Before filing, the parties will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith for 30 days after written notice to the contact in the header.

16) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes take effect when the updated text is made available on the app's website. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

17) Export Controls and Sanctions

You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national/resident of any embargoed country or on any government denied-party list, and you will not use the Service where prohibited by export-control or sanctions laws.

Part B — Privacy Policy

1) Summary

• We send your inputs to AI Providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate outputs.
• We cannot guarantee confidentiality of content processed by AI Providers. Do not submit confidential or sensitive information.
• We minimize data: no storage of prompt/output content; only minimal non-content metadata needed for subscriptions and security.

2) Controller

Make It Great! is the controller for processing described here (except where Apple or other platforms act as independent controllers for their own services).

3) Data We Process

• Account & Subscription Data (from Apple): identifiers, plan, status, renewal, and transaction metadata needed to operate your subscription.
• Usage Metadata (non-content): counters and timestamps to enforce plan limits, detect abuse, and ensure availability.
• Prompts & Outputs: transmitted to AI Providers for processing; we do not retain content beyond transient processing.
• Device/Diagnostics: basic device/app info and crash/diagnostic data.
• Support Communications: emails you send to us.

4) Sources

Data comes from you/your device, Apple (subscriptions/payments, per Apple settings), and AI Providers (processing results/technical metadata).

5) Purposes and Legal Bases

• Provide the Service & enforce limits (contract).
• Billing and fraud prevention (contract/legitimate interests).
• Security, abuse prevention, and service quality (legitimate interests).
• Legal compliance (legal obligation).
  Where required for optional features (e.g., diagnostics), we rely on your device/Apple settings as consent.

6) Sharing

• AI Providers: OpenAI and Anthropic to process prompts/outputs.
• Platform: Apple to manage purchases and account/subscription features.
• Vendors: minimal infrastructure/security providers under appropriate agreements.
• Legal: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  We do not sell personal data.

7) Provider Training & Retention

We can instruct AI Providers to use submitted data for model training or improvement where an opt-out or contractual control exists. We cannot guarantee or audit providers’ independent practices; see their policies. We do not control their retention.

8) Our Retention

• Prompts/Outputs: not retained beyond transient processing.
• Usage Metadata (non-content): retained for the current billing period + up to 30 days, then aggregated or deleted.
• Support Emails: retained as needed to resolve the request and for legal compliance.

9) International Transfers

Data may be processed in countries outside your own (including the United States) by our vendors or AI Providers. We use appropriate safeguards where required by law.

10) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk. No system is perfectly secure; transmission and storage involve risk.

11) Your Rights (where applicable)

Subject to law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object. Where we rely on consent (e.g., optional diagnostics), you may withdraw consent. Requests: make.it.great.app@gmail.com. You may also contact the relevant supervisory authority.

12) Children

The Service is not intended for use by children under 4. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children where prohibited by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to request deletion.

13) Third-Party Policies

Your inputs/outputs are processed by OpenAI and Anthropic under their own terms and privacy policies. Review the latest versions on their official websites.

14) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes take effect when the updated text is made available in the App. You are responsible for reviewing this Policy periodically. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acknowledgment.

Important Notice on Confidentiality

Because your texts are transmitted to OpenAI and Anthropic, we do not guarantee confidentiality. Do not submit secrets, personal data, or any information you cannot risk disclosing.
